Sad car!

I own a dealership that brokers and locates cars... this car was at an auction I was at 11/06 and the guy who bought it paid 59k for it and now its on Ebay with a 73k buy now... looking for a 14k profit seems alittle out of line!

Not if someone is happy to pay 73k. If he had somehow bought it for $1 would you expect him to sell it for a fraction of market value?

And although certainly not my cup of tea, I see nothing “sad” about it.

The car is described in the ads as a mint '02, 5700 miles, with an upgraded stereo. Is there something material that's not being disclosed? Why do you call it sad?
Well, it is probably just because I am getting too old for these mods. The "Honda" plate on the engine makes it look half-done. The console, wheels, trunk, and the extra yellow in the engine bay are tacky to me. I think it looks like a 80's wannabe car and cheapened such otherwise classy car. Anyway, different strokes, different folks and I would be embarrassed as hell to be seen in this car.

Sure, to each his own. But if you talk with anyone who buys and sells cars for a living, they will be the first to tell you that a car with drastic interior mods like this is very, very difficult to sell, because very few buyers would even consider it. Most such cars will eventually sell for less than a bone-stock, otherwise-similar car would.

A suggestion to anyone who is considering doing this to his own NSX: keep all the stock parts so that you can return it to stock at some point in the future when you decide to sell it.

There are no pictures of the left quarter panel.
I've actually seen this car in person, and I didn't notice anything obviously wrong with it... that is, besides the yellow center console and the yellow wheels.

I also can't comprehend why someone would pay $20,000 for a stereo, but install the subwoofers in the trunk so there's no possible way of hearing them when you're driving.

Maybe it's to remind your neighbors how much you paid for your stereo when you wake them up when you're returning home at 2:00 a.m.

I think its 20k total in mods stereo rims inter etc...
I noticed the rims were HRE but I think it wasnt Yellow the last time I saw it

I'm sure the owner was only too happy to jack up the volume enough to get the vibes through the two firewalls and the engine.

And the walls of most houses in a three-block radius.

Circular 12" amps?? Looks a heck of alot like speakers to me...

Well they are amps, sorry. The amps are not circular, the fiberglass piece in the trunk just has circular view ports over the top. The amps themselves are rectangular underneath but you can only see part of them. I am sure that if you will actually look at the picture you will see they do not resemble speakers in any way.
