A few of us went to Sacramento Raceway for some 1/4-mile passes. Thanks to Sidney for organizing the event! Here's my best timeslip for the day. I ran a personal best of 12.667 @ 114.137 mph (Right Lane). If I can improve on my 60ft. a little more perhaps 12.4's aren't out of reach. Perhaps some of the other guys will post their times.

Very nice trapspeed!!! You are in the 12's easy with a good launch. It was nice meeting everybody and we definitely have to do it again!

It was a perfect day at the track. A total of 6 NSX's made it out and 3 were supercharged. I was hoping to beat my previous best of 13.258 at 106.335mph with 2.067 0-60' but I could only manage to squeeze out a 13.379 at 105.922 mph. My launching was terrible and on that run, it was a 2.202 0-60' time.

The mods that I did that were different than the last time that I went up was changing my exhaust system from a Comptech exhaust to a Anytime Borla exhaust, changing catalytic converters to Random Technology hi-flow cats and changing my rear tires from Bridgestone S02 tires to Dunlop Super Sport Race tires.

My problem that I realized is the tire pressure was too high as I ran it at 28 psi. I should have dropped it down to around 20-22 psi. Also since I am running race tires which have stiffer side walls, I think I was losing traction even though the tires are stickier.

I have a feeling I can gain some more MPH and lower my ET's just by changing out my wheel setup to something lighter. Unsprung weight is a big factor as Ryan found out.

Another thread mentioned a 2002 NSX which turned a best of 12.47 at 109mph with 1.9 0-60' times.

Same MPH as ICEE but look at the low ET. That has alot to do with the NSX-R rear differential.

Hey all, I just noticed this thread weeks after the fact. My best timeslip of the day was a 13.04 @ 108(?). I'll try to post it up when I get home today. I may need help on this (hint, hint ryan...)

Ryan

Your time is almost exactly like mine including the 60'. My trap speed was slightly lower (I want to believe I let off too early at the end since it had been a while since I went to the drag strip ;)). Here is my thread about my first and only run (explanation in thread for this):

Yeah, I saw your thread. It made me feel good that my numbers made sense and were consistent with other people's times. I also saw that our cars dyno'd at about the same power/tq. My car had a high of 360 and a low of 350; TQ was around 250 for all of the runs. I'm sure if we improved on our launch 12.4's shouldn't be a problem.

I went to a site that calculates HP/weight etc for drag racing and for my weight (of the car + me + fuel) along with my rwhp, it said I should be able to run 12.1
That would take some sort of pro to get that (as far as launching goes; like 1.6 60').

Realistically for me, I figure a reasonable goal for me is 12.4ish with lots of practice.

I am posting RedlineRex's timeslip for him....
