I know this is not the forum to be posting up s2k meet pics, but I just thought maybe Honda might want to host a meet for us sometimes.

I attended the s2k homecoming today hosted by HONDA, USA. The event was awesome! over 600+ cars, lots of cool peeps, a few nice hotties (which we hardly see at nsx meets), media coverage, tons of raffle prizes, free breakfast and an awesome BBQ lunch, and super super organized. I have to say, I was very impress with the overall event.

Had a chance to get my S2k signed by "Shigeru Uehara" (father of the Honda S2000 and the Acura NSX and Integra Type R). Won a cool diecast S2k and ate til I couldn't eat no more. When interviewed my a camera team at the event, I did put in my 2 cents when asked "what would you like to see if this event was organized again next year?" my answer was simple..."some nsx to show up".

But enough boring text..here are some pics.
prior to rolling out to the Honda Plant in Torrance, we all met up somewhere in Irvine around 7am.

Great pics...I'm jealous. Saw this on Honda-Tech and some of the cars there left me speechless.

I've oft wondered why Honda doesn't hold a regular owner event for enthusiasts. They certainly sponsor individual model events (like NSXPO) but nothing that brings together enthusiasts throughout their product range.

It's good to have Mr. Uehara-san's present, definitely adds flavor to such an incredible turnout.

I went with a friend who has an S2000. Awesome event and there were some really beautifully modded cars there. I love the Mooncraft fastbacks, especially knowing their aero functionality. Food was good, and I finally got to see Shigeru Uehara--someone I really admire right up there with Gordon Murray. An NSX contingent would have fit right in so hopefully in the future they'll invite us too.

Wheres TOM?

I was there... as mentioned it was a blast. Simply the best car show i have ever gone to. (including bloomington gold and nsxpo)

Anyway.. meeting Uehara was great, he graciously signed my s2000 radio door and the inside of my nsx center console. Uehara made the trip over from japan for this event and we learned that he has just retired after 37 years with honda.

It was great seeing old friends including kent shepley from honda and Jose who was there with his brother who also has a very nice white s2000.
