The other day I started the car and it didn't idle, the revs kept going up n down. So turned the car off started back up and fine. Let it warm up and took it out, got down the road engine and tcs light came on, pulled over turned car off started back up and was fine.
drove it next day no problems.
started up tonight to take to the garage for coil over install. It done the rough start up again. Wouldn't idle, revs were up and down, turned it off started back up and was fine. However allot of smoke out the exhaust. Recently had a compression check its making great compression so doubtful it's the motor. Stuck my finger in the exhaust and it was damp keeping in mind it's not been raining so I think the smoke was condensation? Anyway engine management light came on and tcs light again. Took it to the garage carefully the car was up to temp it would rev past 3500 revs I believe hesitated bad, as if it was perhaps a early rev limited like when it's cold. It was warm by this point.
When. I dropped it off, it's obd2 shorted the pins to read the codes and no codes came up from what I could see, tried several times and couldn't get any blinks.
it might be just me but it seems to be using allot of fuel. Maybe the condensation was fuel?
ive had a O2 sensor go before and I can't remember it causing hesitation like it did.
pleasecan anyone help with suggestion, ideas? Any one experienced this before?

Seems weird it was fine before compression test.
but after I have problems, is it possible coil packs are not seated properly or perhaps in wrong order?
also mechanic mentioned the coil covers have a seal on one side only, what way round are they meant to be? Seal at the top of bottom? Guessing top to stop water draining in?
