Rubbing with Bilsteins on lower perch

Hi,

I'm having some odd rubbing problems which according to the forums I shouldn't be having.

I recently replaced my shocks with Bilsteins and mounted them on the lower spring perch. I have a 94', with the stock wheels and my tires are:

225/45/16 and 255/40/17

The car doesn't rub during normal driving, however, it does rub when I approach certain inclines and have the wheel turned in on them. Typically, the inclines in which I do rub are not large steep inclines, but rather slight unassuming inclines.

I can't figure out what could be wrong? Does it makes sense the car would be rubbing on an incline, but not on flat surfaces?

What is rubbing against what? The front spoiler on the ground? The front tires on the fender liners (and if so, where are they rubbing)? Something else?

The back of the front tires are rubbing ever so slightly against the rubbery black material (or grime), not the fender liners, in the wheel well on full lock while the shocks are compressed.

My principal concern is whether or not my current situation is indicative of a more serious problem (either with the shock or the car itself) because I did not think it would rub.

I've been thinking of doing the same combination (bilsteins and 16/17) for a long time now. I would love to see how your car looks. Do you ever travel down here in alameda?

I'm not in the east bay very often anymore. I can however take a picture of my car and post it in a week or so when my digital camera is repaired.
