Anybody know what the torque spec is for the RPS pressure plate?? It's all sorts of different (different bolts, different material), so I'm guessing it's not the same as the factory pressure plate..... the clutch didn't come with any specs...

please advise if you know.... i'd like to get the transmission back on tonight (among other things)

also, if it is the factory torque, what is that? i checked the manual, but i must've overlooked it.... i'll look again, but if anybody knows it off hand, could you post it?

Thanks a bunch.

OK, so i just called RPS. They looked it up and said 22 ft-lb is the torque for the pressure plate to the flywheel, and to use factory spec for the flywheel mounting bolts.

22 sounded kinda familiar, so i double checked the spec in the manual - said 22Nm/16 ft-lb..... i was afraid that maybe the person i spoke with accidentally said ft-lbs. I called again, just to be sure (cause i'm paranoid like that).... i don't think he looked it up again, but he sounded rather confident that it was 22 lb-ft (i'm still a little uneasy about it, because.... like I said before.. i'm paranoid)

but, for future reference, the torque specs on the RPS stage 1 clutch (for 1991, at least) are:
Flywheel Mounting Bolts: 76 ft-lb
Pressure Plate to Flywheel: 22 ft-lb

i'll let you know if my pressure plate explodes (again, that paranoia's kickin in  )
