Yesterday I was at a car show and was talking to one of the Supra guys, we were talking about clutches and he said he had an RPS clutch in his supra and it caused crankwalk:confused: Does anyone know anymore details about this, I know what crank walk is, just wanted to know how the clutch caused it and if it could apply to the NSX, currently I have an OEM clutch but when mine goes was considering aftermarket and in particular the RPS. Assuming I can check someone's out for pedal pressue.

Thanks in advance for feedback,

Carl

This doesn't make any sense for the NSX clutch. Crank walk on the Supra may have been caused by an excessive diaphram spring, however, this would be a specific issue relating to the Supra's engine and clutch used in that application. No worries in the NSX application. The clutch is not over sprung and the NSX crank has very good bearing design.

Some Supras have crankwalk.

This usually results from poor installation of clutch or flywheel.

I've also heard that it can be caused by excessive starting with the clutch in (i.e., tuning an ECU and starting the car thousands of times in a few weeks).
