Someone was asking me what the RPM would be in 4th gear going 65 mph.
2002 NSX-T 6 Speed.

Standard Gearing (rpm) and with Short Gears (rpm).

I have no idea, but I figured there has to be someone here who has enough techno information overflowing in his head.
:)

Nah, I look it up in the FAQ like everyone else.

The Gear Ratios section of the FAQ says that, in fourth gear, you would be going 130 mph at the 8000 RPM redline. Therefore, at 65 mph, your RPM will be:

65/130 * 8000 = 4000 RPM

Oh, and the question about short gears was a trick question, right? Because the short gears only apply to the five-speed; all six-speeds have the same six ratios for all six gears. So there are no short gears for the six-speed (other than the final drive gear, for which you can simply multiply and divide the stock and modified ratios to adjust the RPM number).

Awesome. Thanks!
I'm still a little slow getting around the site since the Wiki project took over.
I knew someone would know or point me in the right direction.

Or in this case...both.

During my 4th gear pull on the dyno. 8200rpm said I was going 147mph
