At first I thought it was the Mugen RR than front looks like the zero force final kit.

Check out the carbon roof clips.

Think i have seen it before but wow! I would love to go down this route.

The seat is very far forward and yet the layout doesn't seem to have affected cockpit space?

FYI, Mugen let it be known that their NSX RR was...crushed. Yep, it's been crushed. Sad.

Here's another pic:

Why on earth would they crush it:confused:

From what I gathered, it was a decision by Honda corporate. Specific reason unknown and unstated.

Me and another asked why it was crushed but that's as much as was said and we weren't going to press something that seemed like a delicate situation.

But Mugen is not owned by Honda, maybe it was a joint effort...still confused and sad...

I know the super GT cars are setup like this too. Any advantages to running the engine in this orientation?

Aha...but was the actual car owned by Mugen? ;)

In general terms, the potential for:

  • better left/right balance
  • better front/rear balance

And IMHO, it just looks better by having a natural symmetry. ;)

The Esprit NSX is having 690PS and is battling against the 3 GTRs and RX7.

Hmm... I didn't see the NSX anywhere in the video or at least not driving.

Interesting how the longitudinal Le Mans NSX-GT1 also had a clutch/transmission issue. I wonder how fast this car would have been if the tranny held up.
