My '92 idles about 1000+ when cold and is quite rough. Gets smoother as it warms up and settles down to 800 or so. Took it in and the dealer tightened the engine mounts and said everything was per specs...nothing wrong. I read that spraying some carburator cleaner in the intake would clean the sensor and smooth out the idle. Anybody tried this?

Idle above 1000 - 1400rpm is typically rough. Not an issue.

Not sure about rough idle vs. throttle body cleaning, but there is no sensor in there accept the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) and that is isolated from the air flow in the intake so cleaning would do nothing for that.

Typically a dirty throttle body will cause a dip in idle to 400-500rpm, once you release the throttle, then it comes back up to 800rpm.
