I always properly bed my pad/rotors before going to the track.
I’ve been having rotor shudder issues for awhile. They only shudder when they get really hot, not when they are cold. Everyone who's smarter than I has said that my rotors are not warped, it's just pad deposits. Therefore, I’ve switched to more aggressive pad compounds in hopes of fixing it (currently Carbotech XP 10), but the shudder still persists. I'll be switching to more aggressive PFC 01 pads next time out.
I may have found the problem. I just noticed that I had a good deal of rubber jammed into many of the rotor vanes. Please take a look at the attached photo of what I pulled out. Could this be causing hot spots where only the rubber areas get extra hot and smear pad material to the rotor??? How can I avoid getting this much rubber in the vanes?
Thanks in advance,
Ryan
