Does anyone know if there are any advantages/disadvantages to replacing the factory rotors with ones that are slotted/drilled? I think they "look cooler", but I wouldn't want to risk what stops my car for simple "looks". Any thoughts would be great! Thanks!

Advantages are claimed for better cooling and/or gassing of the pads. I don't know of any disadvantages. Some people claim that drilled rotors crack easier, but I've cracked all of them (solid, cross-drilled, slotted) and haven't noticed that one kind cracks faster than another. I haven't noticed any differences in performance, either.

One thing I would suggest is to stick with quality brands. I've had good results with stock rotors, Powerslot rotors, and Stoptech rotors. I had a problem with rotors with an obvious manufacturing defect whose brand name I won't mention here, for which the vendor (whose name begins with "C") would not provide any compensation for the defective product they sold.

We have had some warping issues with some of the less expensive brands of rotors. If you are going with stock replacements, go with the cross drilled/slotted brembo rotors. They take a lot of abuse with no warping and no cracking to report to date. Try www.brakewarehouse.net. Mo - Elite.

I've warped all of them. Powerslot, Brembo, Bradi, and Stoptech (cyro treated to boot). Didn't notice any difference in performance from just the rotors. But I liked the Stoptech's the best: two piece aluminum hats for the stock brake system.

Well, I take that back. I did notice a performance difference. The stock rotors weren't too good at the track. Rotor temps were always the highest. According to my measurements, from my memory:

Stock rotors hovered around 520 degrees.
Powerslots around the same, too close to call.
Brembo/Bradi around 490 degrees
Stoptech around 475 degrees.

All of my measurements were taken with different kinds of tires and pads AND on different days AND in different weather conditions. How's that for scientific!!:p

I was the most hard on the Stoptechs though. Probably because I'm a little better as a driver and am more confident in the cars ability. The time I warped them, it was because I left my foot on the brake peddle while talking with an instructor. My bad. The next session was like being in an earthquake.

BTW, all of the rotors, save the Brembos and OE, were slotted.

Doubt away. They still shuddered and vibrated like I was being shaken like voodoo doll. Whether or not it meets your criteria...I'll still call it "warping." "Uneven pad deposit" takes way too long to say.

Warping, warping, warping.

Shudder, shudder, shudder.

Shudder to think.

I've had severe shudder in my rotors at the track, too - but it goes away when they cool down. Warped rotors shudder at all temperatures.
