I have an 02 targa with the SOS harness bar and a 5pt. I know, controversial issue. I use titaniumdave's seat bar to mount the sub belt, and have a Dali seat cushion to allow it through.
Im wondering if there is any interest, or skuttlebut, in making a custom piece that would attach the the harness bar (somehow) and fit a targa car, so that we can have more confidence that we (who are doing this) are doing the right thing. I cannot be the only one with this concern.
It has been hit and miss, but some schools put the kibosh on me using the 5pts without rollover protection and some are okay with it. I think that in all scenarios other than a roll over, Im better in the 5pts, but Im unclear how much Id rather be wearing the stock belts over the 5pts in a rollover: I fluctuate between a bit and Id MUCH rather have the stock belts on should the car roll.
