I just upgraded my 91 NSX with 15/16" wheels-tires to the 95+ style 16/17". Now the care looks a little bit higher. Is this normal? I dont' know how to figure out the diameter if it changed or not. Thanks.

For one thing, if your old tires were worn and your new tires are new, the difference in tread depth, all by itself, accounts for a ride height difference of 1/4 inch.

For another thing, if you replaced the stock '91-93 sizes with the stock '94-01 sizes, this would result in a ride height that is higher in the front by just over 1/4 inch, but lower in the rear by less than 1/10 inch.

Add these two factors together, and you've got it 0.5 inch higher in front, 0.2 inch higher in the rear.

Other than those differences, assuming you chose your tire sizes properly, the outer diameter of the tires should be approximately the same, and your actual ride height should not change. However, it is also possible that it looks like it is higher, even though it is not. This illusion can be caused by the fact that the tire sidewall is shorter and the wheels are larger.
