Why would the reverse lights always be on?

I believe the reverse lights are controlled from a switch at the transmission.

Correct.

Didn't you recently have some work done on yours?

As we speak, the tech is investigating the switch......he thinks it may be a bent pin in the wiring connector, and while that is most logical, I pinged the audience to see if there is a not so salient cause.

Hello Andy,

The reverse light switch is mounted to the transmission on a right angle bracket. Typically I have seen this bracket bent back which would keep the connector from being plugged in completely. This usually results in the backup lights not working though.

I am thinking a bent pin would get the same result. Please let us know what you find:).

Because you're always driving around backwards? :D

Touché.

I am thinking a bent pin would get the same result.

As it turns out, the culprit was a broken pin. The tech soldered it, but one out of ten times the reverse lights would stay on. We overnighted a switch for delivery today.

You northern NSXers must be nonchalant about not being able to drive your NSX, as if not enjoying your NSX for several months per year is acceptable. ;) I’ve been without mine for four weeks and am having terrible withdrawals. :)

I get withdrawals almost every day! I only drive mine on Friday's to work and most of the weekend. Every other day i find myself rationalizing the additional miles if i drive it to work.
