Hi, folks,
I just purchased, thanks to a fellow Prime member, a nice set of alloy wheels to replace my "strongly disliked" OEM 15/16 chrome five-spokes.
Three of the four wheels are very good, but the fourth is, well, meh. Scratches, road rash, discoloration, peeling clearcoat. (I knew this in advance, am not bashing the seller!)
There's a place near me, Unique Auto Reconditioning in Colma, that offers to restore wheels for $125-$150. I've heard good things about them, but have never used them personally.

Am looking for any other feedback about that shop... or other options. Like, do any of you local guys restore wheels as a hobby? <smile> Or know of a less-expensive option? Where do you bring your wheels?
There is no hurry. The OEM 15/16 chromes have fairly new tires on them, and I'm not swapping until they're down to 4/32.
