I damaged my targa top over the weekend and I need to replace it.

What is the most cost-effective source for getting a replacement, both new or used?

New: Niello Acura, with a discount for members of NSXCA

Used: ERZ Motors

Most new body panels come unpainted, so you'll probably need to have a body shop paint/repaint it. Don't worry too much about finding a used one your color, since it might not match your car perfectly anyway.

How badly damaged? I thought I needed to replace mine, but I ended up only needing to change the aluminum bit on top.

8000RPM, I have to ask......did you pull a Fast and Furious move and eject the top at highway speeds?

My brother owns a supra and forgot to latch his top. He set it on the car while he went inside the gym to work out. Upon returning to his car, he forgot to remove it / latch it. He said there was really no warning the targa top fluttered for one second and just shot up into the air, flipping end over end. Believe it or not it cleared the stock spoiler on the supra.

Good luck, Paul

Just got a quote from Niello Acura: $1,344 w/out the NSXCA discount. Lead time is two days.

Correction: apparently the above price is only for one of the roof panels. The overall cost with all the peripheral parts added comes out to around $4k...unpainted.

The price for a used one is around $1k.
