Replacing radiator hoses

I just got my new red radiator hoses today and was curious.
When I undo the factory hoses will there be a lot of antifreeze pouring out? That maybe a dumb question but would like to know what I'm in for before attempting.
Maybe someone out there has already done this and can give me some pointers.
Thanks in advance.

Yep, just add in the hose replacement step after you drain. BTW if your '92 is on it's original coolant hoses, I would suggest you replace all the main coolant hoses while you are in there (not sure if you were already planning to or not).

from a prior thread ...

There are a total of 8 hoses in the NSX cooling system. Here's a list along with prices from A+H Motors in PA.
Front Upper hose= $22.30
Front Lower hose= $26.25
Rear Upper hose= $22.30
Rear lower hose= $22.30
Middle Upper hose= $23.95
Middle lower hose= $26.95
Expansion(overflow tank) Hose(upper)= $5.45
Expansion hose(lower)= $6.30

Plan on 4-8hours to do the lot.
Depending upon your skill and ability to follow directions (everyone likes to cut the bleed procedure short, bad idea).
My experience says the hose most likely to go is one of the two between the engine and firewall.
Good luck!

Those are probably the two that I just bought that are silicone red. Having the BBSC makes them a little more difficut to get to also.

Per one of the tech sessions at NSXpo the other day, there are actually 22 hoses in the NSX. Many of them are not exposed to the elements (inside the heater assembly, etc), so the 8 hoses mentioned above are the ones to deteriorate the most.

:-)

I agree about NOT cutting the bleeding short. Coolant travels the length of the car and any air can cause trouble...also yes, there a BUNCH of hoses than can leak, I had a small one near and underneath the throttle body that was leaking..
