Was curious as to your experiences. Any suggestions on what transmission fluid to use. I am installing a 5 speed with short gears and 4.23 R&P.

Thanks

Honda MTL:)

Reasonably priced, works great.

Per the manual 3 quarts after overhaul.

Since this is a "dry" trans, as in rebuilt, make sure you check the level after a few days of driving. In a recent swap I did, all seemed well as far as level, (but did not get the 3.0 Qts in). Then a week later is was actually down 1/2 qt. I beleive this was due to the oil not coating all the gears on the initial fill.

Thanks Larry, I will be sure to check the tranny a few weeks after install.

Honda brand tranny fluid is great stuff! But, for me, CT recommends Redline MT-90 with there 4:55R&P trannys:D
