As some of you saw, I got a small tear in the drivers side bolster. I went to a leather shop to get a quote on redoing that peice. They wanted $199 to do the entire peice. Is that a good deal?
I had the same experience with the drivers side, although mine had multiple cuts and was beyond repair. Acura wants $980.00
for the replacement piece. Labor was about $100. Very steep, but it looks like new.Hope this helps.

I had the local Dr. Vinyl to repair a tear in mine. They had a problem since it was in the seam and they re-did it a couple of times and finally used a lacquer to cover it. It's not perfect, but it was less than $100 for that (plus they re-dyed all of both seats for my trouble and fixed a worn spot at the corner).
They said if it wasn't at the seam it wouldn't have been so difficult.
Before I bought my car, the second owner had the pass. seat completely redone. A home paint chemical from Home Depot had a loose cap and came open and spilled and ruined the seat. Home Depot paid to get it redone and the cost for the whole seat new leather plus labor was $2K....
