Just got a 1995 and it has paint peeled off of about 40% of one plastic caps of the rear OEM 17" wheels (I have gunmetal, not Blades). Question: how do I remove the cap? The gap is so close to the wheel that I am scared to attempt to pry it out with a screwdriver. Upon looking closely, there is no evidence of any pry marks previously. Must I pull the wheel to pop the cap from the inside? I searched the online service manual and could not find a solution.

BTW, I ordered a new one and they cost $58.50 a piece!!

That price doesn't surprise me. The NSX has a lot of pieces that cost an arm and a leg, maybe a newborn too. But hey, Congrats again on you new ride! So how did the buffering/polish do?

Thanks! The buffing came out well. The roof panel now looks as good as the rest of the car. I ordered floormats and touch-up paint, too. I may send the wheels out to be polished to a Blades-like finish.

Absolutely DO NOT pry them out. You need to remove the wheels since all the prongs are further tensioned by a metal ring in the back. You will scratch the cap and the wheel if you pry them.

Thanks...I think I will pull the wheel. How do you guys properly torque your lug nuts?

80 ft/lbs with a torque wrench. Tighten a little at a time in a crisscross pattern.

And Kevin congrats on your new toy!

There was a recent thread in which someone made custom center caps that read NSX rather than oem ACURA or simply A. I don't remember if he was planning on mass producing them though.

The person you are referring to is Joseph Gavazza and his NSXPrime user name is NorCalWhite. I've seen his work and it is very professional. PM him.
