Hello,

Is there any trick in removing the two side skirts on a 92 NSX? I removed the two front wheel well screws, the three rear wheel well screws, the two bottom screws, and the long "NSX name plate", yet the side skirt wouldn't budge. Do the side skirts need lot of force or prying to remove them? Many thanks.

You need to slide it forward ~ 1" or so - give it a tap on the rear edge with the palm of your hand if it's stuck
After you remove the skirt, remove the clips by turning them 45deg then pull them out. To replace, insert the clips in the skirt then just snap it on in the "normal" position

Btw, if you no longer need those clips, can I buy them from you? I really need to get my hands on some.

Let me know, thanks,

I broke most of my clips too. Are these things we can buy? Does a body shop need to get involved? My right side skirt is not as secure and flush as when it shipped from the factory and I have been too busy to deal with it.

Acura Part # for clips is is 71807-SLO-000

Body shops may carry these in their loose stock - I'm pretty sure I got a few extra's from my body shop if I recall correctly.

Remember the tip re re-install - for removal you slide the skirt forward and remove it as the clips slide out of the end of the slots; however it is near impossible to re-install using reverse method. You remove the clips from the rocker panel by turning through 45 deg, then re-install the clips in the sill & simply snap the sill directly onto the sill in the properly finished aligned position.
