Has anyone removed there EGR valve cause I did and the check engine light poped up. I took it out and put a block off plate but know Im starting to wonder if the check engine light is on would it pull timming or Ignition of the car. I have a direct port kit on the car but have had alot of problems with it it just runs too rich. NOS says to put a 24 jet on the nos and a 20 on the fuel Im up to a 28 on the nos and down to a 14 on the fuel and the car is 10.0 AFR on the dyno and with a 150 shot I only dynoed 396 rwhp on juice and 280 on motor.

nosnsx,
what kit are you running? Nitrous oxide? Zex? Nitrous Xpress? which one??? is it custom made piping or it's a kit? thanks!

Well its a nos sportsman fogger kit its a direct port set up that my friend built made for me. I ran a 12.2 but with a slipping clutch and running extrememly rich.

You need to cap off the line running to the throttle body, and reset your ECU.

I don't know why you would want to cap the EGR vent hole though.

I've used that line as a breather for the front cylinder bank.

Chris I didnt understand what your trying to tell me should I put the EGR Valve back does the check engine light affect the car I dont think it does because the car is obd1. What do you exactly mean by disconnecting the hose to the throttle body what will that do.
