removal of turn signal lenses

I had mine removed with no effort at all, on my part, last night in the car wash on my Tundra mirror. Damn thing ripped the mirror right off.

I made the mistake of running my nsx through an auto carwash shortly after i got it home. The undercar spray soaked my rear bank and fried one of my coils. i wont do that again.

Not to sound like an ass but the search system does not work at all for me. Secondly the long clear lenses directly under the popup light require a hotknife to remove? That seems like a massive pain in the ass just so i can replace the bulbs.

:eek:There is no need for a hot knife. Just get a very long and thin phillips head screwdriver and look up in the duct area below the parking lamp toward the middle of the car. You will see a small hole in which you stick the screwdriver into to loosen the screw. The screw won't fall out because it is within a housing that keeps it self contained. After it is loose you can pry the entire assembly out and replace the bulb. It shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes and there is no cutting involved.

Ah! Thats what i needed to know! Thank you very much!

You're welcome. One reason why I decided to give you the DIY advice was because I once had a dog named Biscuit.

Ahahah! Thats awesome! I once knew a dwarf named Doc!

I use to manage a car stereo shop and a very nice large black man by the name of Itty (i.e. Itty Bitty) would refer to me as his little white biscuit. :)
Biscuit is a derogatory term for a white guy. It kinda stuck apparently.

To make this a bit easier on the visual learners ... check out these 2 pics (see the 2 diagrams on the left side on the manual pic) ... 1. loosen screw. 2. pull the lens cover 'outward' to remove ... meaning the side closer to the center of the car begin pulled out toward the side of the car.

To avoid scratches, apply masking tape to the flat recess in front of the lens. It's too easy to scratch the paint here when sliding the lamp housing in & out.
