Can someone tell me whats involved in doing this? I cant figure itt out for the life of me.
Service manual page 23-191
I had mine removed with no effort at all, on my part, last night in the car wash on my Tundra mirror. Damn thing ripped the mirror right off.
Not to sound like an ass but the search system does not work at all for me. Secondly the long clear lenses directly under the popup light require a hotknife to remove? That seems like a massive pain in the ass just so i can replace the bulbs.
There is no need for a hot knife. Just get a very long and thin phillips head screwdriver and look up in the duct area below the parking lamp toward the middle of the car. You will see a small hole in which you stick the screwdriver into to loosen the screw. The screw won't fall out because it is within a housing that keeps it self contained. After it is loose you can pry the entire assembly out and replace the bulb. It shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes and there is no cutting involved.
Ah! Thats what i needed to know! Thank you very much!
You're welcome. One reason why I decided to give you the DIY advice was because I once had a dog named Biscuit.
