Refurbish your Wheel Center Caps (94-? wheels)

My 7-spoke wheel center caps have the "Acura" word molded into them. In the bottom of the molded-in part are actual black, metal foil decals. These decals often fade and start to turn silver. I took a black "Sharpie" permanent marker and sharpended it to a fine point with a razor blade. Then, using one of those florescent magnifying task lights, I carefully refinished the letters. Be careful not to touch the sides of the indentation. Under magnification, it is not perfect. But from 2-3 feet away, they look like new. The picture does not do it justice. It does look great.

You might want to clear-coat the caps to limit problems in the future.

Wow, they do look a little gold in the pictures.

They're not gold, but instead, 94-96 Gunmetal Gray.
