Red Nsx Key

Hello-I just bought a 97 NSX and it came with a packaged "RED" key. On the back of the package it states "Regarding use of this key, be sure to read the owners manual. *It is impossible to start the engine with this key. If this key is operated, the master key cannot be used any longer."

Can anyone tell me what this key is used for? I do not get a 97 owners manual with my car.

That is the program key. You need it to program "new" keys.
If you get new keys cut the dealer will ask you for the red key.
If you dont have it they cant program the key to your car.
