I like it and i want it, but i don't know where yet.
Intake manifold cover perhaps? Or center console?

Supersize me!

Looks freakin' hot though!

Damn I wish my Gruppe M intake looked like that.

colored carbon also comes from artificial materials being woven into carbon to produce those colors.... straying even farther from the original intent of carbonfiber.... but hell... it does look nice....

I had an idea.
How about "Valve cover... ehm covers" like that?

It would in fact look even cooler than painting them red like the NSX-R and it would also save you the whole hassle of removing them (i hope:tongue:).

yes sir... now we just need to figure out a way to create a skin, thin enough to cover the valve covers, but now thin enough to warp under intense heat... and i'd think creating a skin would just trap heat even more from the valve cover...

but i'm sure it can be done... i had a cosemetic CARBONFIBER b-series valve cover when i used to show my civic... i'd just skin it over the stock one, put the spark plug wire cover over it... and fasten it down... look crazy nice at the shows

Seen a thread here on prime of some one going to make NSX parts in red carbon fiber and a few more color's.

Wow, that looks good.
On another note, I have a silver carbon rear wing on my Prelude :)

Here's a tip, if you already have carbon fiber product in the standard black/grey color one way to impart some color to it is to overlay a tint to it. It won't give the pure carbon fiber color like in the picture above, but it will impart a tint to it that will make it appear to have a colored hue. Espirt1 did it to his NSX and it looks pretty cool.

Thats pretty cool. Vance's hood has a red tint underneath that peter did for him. Peter can you do this on some parts?

Carbon composites...

Colored carbon fiber is a kevlar + carbon fiber composite fabric available in various colors.

The silver fabric is called texalium made w/ aluminum powder + kevlar + carbon fiber.

Vance's hood had carbon-kevlar on the underside, in red color.

My hood is "hybrid" carbon fiber. It has metal tencils in it. You can dye the CF and make it into any color. CF is just carbon fabric:smile:
