Ive gotten a CEL 22 for "Front vtec pressure switch" a couple of times while on the track. I cleaned the screens and I monitor my oil pressure while on track- its all is within spec. Theres no leaks around the cam seals or spool valves but have gotten this fault again for only the front switch. It seems to be intermittent and only after sustained vtec.
Not every session yealds a CEL but i have consistently got it the last couple times at the track, and only for the front valve. I have not really heard of these going bad often.. Talking to some tech friends at Acura and they say its not unheard of for even daily driven RDX/MDX's to need replacements.
Does anyone else have any other ideas before I go and order the replacement?
Also, does anyone have PN's for the assembly that are retro-changable off newer Acuras models onto the NSX? Or even somewhere that has them for a decent non NSX gouging price. My local Parts department apparently thinks these parts are forged by the Gods themselves and price them accordingly.
