Recently we had a customer stop by with his well maintained NSX and wanted a more factory look but upgraded sound.
Most of the stock interior trim panels were bubbling pretty badly so we discussed doing an upgrade with our carbon fiber OEM replacements. Each panel is completely stripped and refinished in beautiful carbon fiber with UV clear coat and he opted to add a nice flat bottom carbon fiber steering wheel as well.
He brought us a kit from Willmans which is a custom modern radio fitted to the chassis of a stock radio. The advantages of going this setup is you get to maintain the OEM appearance from the outside but get the benefits of a modern radio with Bluetooth and AUX inputs.
In this customer's case, he wanted to retain the stock dash panels and we just helped to get them finished in carbon fiber for very nice upscale feel to the car. The trim panels include:
Center Dash Panel in Carbon
Upper vent trim in Carbon
Matching Power window trims for both doors
Carbon Fiber flat bottom, thicker grip steering wheel to retain the stock airbag and cruise/horn buttons

here are the dash panels side by side prior to install:
He decided to go with the new Bose door speakers and subwoofer units which is an easy plug/play setup. Another route for even better sound would be to use the Willmans/Kenwood deck option and utilize the line outputs to use a quality aftermarket amplifier and component speakers and subwoofer. We have another NSX owner scheduled to do exactly this so will update this thread later with more photos.
In the meantime enjoy these pics, sound quality is much improved over stock! We also have a video that has been uploaded to our Instagram page if you want to view here:
