Yeah, I know what you mean. I gave up on Imagestation as host for pics since you can't link to the big size original.

Nope- this is going up to Lake Arrowhead, great views, and we were only 1/2 way up at this point...did see another NSX fly by while stoppped, but didnt mind to stop by us..

How did the NSX run compare to the RX-7 in the mountain? I have been to Azusa Canyon with a few WRX and I can easily loose them while I get out each corner. I ended up 30 seconds ahead to the bottom of the twisted mountain road, 1 minute ahead to the top of the mountain.

I have never run against the RX-7 FD, but I heard they are fast and can overtake the NSX.

NSX2000- it is pretty close but the NSX is a better handling car...again you have to take in some driver skills (join me at Willow next month!! ) ..but my NSX is on Koni/Eibach will Dali sway bars...so I am REAL stiff...his is just on Eibach's...

our tire setup is just about the same size with 18" all around...the NSX will excell, and is more fun....

straight line is another story though...he runs a full exhaust with 12lbs boost ( 2lb. more than stock)...my setup is CT headers, GruppeM intake, RM eahaust, short gears and other goodies...and from about 40-100 or so he will start pulling on me from like 70mph and on....until I give him some secret weapon.hehe...Rx7's are fast straight line again....
stay away from some of those fixed up ones in Socal...I know most of em.. =)

5inchfatlip, do you have those two pics in better quality? ie less compression? I wanted to use them as my desktop wallpaper but I can still see those little destortions caused by the compression. If you do, can you e-mail them to me at [email protected], or my AIM sn is ZuerstZeta... Thx.

no prob. Zuerst- Ill send em over, the first full pic is actually coming up now from imagestation, if you right click on it and set as wallpaper/background with the center or stretch icon, looks real good...I'll send em over....

What is the basis of your comparison?

stock vs stock? - NSX is faster.
modded vs modded? - Depends.
Adam's NSX vs Adam's RX7? - Ask him.

No offense, but you need to support your claim.

Hi everyone. I'm the driver of the white RX-7. Actually, I have Eibach's over Konis as well.

I have a intake, downpipe, catback, and Power FC running 12psi.

My opinion based on straight line performance.

Stock for stock - depends on driver. For NSX's with the 3.0L.

Modded - with the same amount of $$$ invested on both cars. RX-7 wi

And a mustang will 'win' against an rx-7 hands down in a drag race with way less money...your point? Mustang is a better value and is faster then the nsx and rx-7...right?

BTW thanks for the pics 5infatlip
FD is the engine name for the Rotary RX7 engines. B18 are the Honda engine names for the civics, integras, etc.

Tan

Actually "FD" is the chassis code for the car. The FD has a 13B for an engine. Just like the NSX's chassis code is NA1 or NA2 depending if you have a 91-96 (NA1) or 97 and up (NA2). The engine code for our cars is C30A 91-96 or C32B for 97 and up.

The point is that we're discussing the performance difference between the NSX and RX-7 modded, not the Mustang. I'm sure the Mustang can be made faster with less money.

I would be inclined to agree that for the same amount of dollars invested, the RX7 will probably be faster than a 3.0L NSX in a straightline given equal drivers.

However, to me the question that REALLY matters is who would you rather dance with.

At the end of the day, I would much rather choose the NSX as my go-fast dance partner, even if the "dancing shoes" do cost more than those on the RX7 or the Mustang or the Supra...

To each his own. So it's really pointless to discuss performance-to-price ratios as everything is relative...

I agree with 8000RPM all the way...everyone has their own tastes in cars which is fine...I for one ran into a viper this weekend, and totally fell in love again...but I am no want to sell my car...

also- I knew the Rx7 is faster in straight line, but I didnt care...I wanted an NSX for the longest time...and waited for the right one to make sure I could beat those rx7's =)

but anyways, I didnt post pics to make this a performance war at all, each has its own strengths that we all know...

Yes I did have one for sale- forgot who was asking, but mine was red...this one is a good friend of mine, and we hang out all the time, along with the other yellow one I posted with about a month ago.....
