Hi all – up for sale is my pair of my Recaro Pole Position FIA seats with Science of Speed brackets and seat belt buckles. I bought these with my first NSX in 2016, and have had these in my current car for the last 5 years. I love them dearly, but recently swapped to a set of NC Auto Type S seats, so I no longer have a need for these.
NOTE: These are the narrower FIA version of the Pole Position, not the ABE version of the seats. I’m a 36 waist and I fit beautifully in these – have put many long trips on them, but want to be clear on the versions I have here. Note the width on the FIA is still slightly wider than the OEM R/S seats. Also, as has been discussed before on Prime, the OEM NSX seat buckles do not fit through the seat holes on the FIA versions – I just ran them over the sides like the pictures show, or an alternative solution is to run UKDM DC2 integra type R buckles if you would like to have them fit through the hole (sold separately). I've included a few pictures of the seats installed in my car for reference.
The seats were re-upholstered in black Nappa leather with silver Recaro logos and deviated silver stitching, and perforated black Alcantara center cushions. They are in excellent shape – there is no damage to the shells and no rips / tears on the leather or the Alcantara. The Nappa leather is super soft to the touch and quite easy to take care of - Leatherique or Gliptone once a year keeps it in good shape. The black perforated Alcantara inserts look amazing, and are a match to the OEM type S material (confirmed this against my other seats and my door cards).
I am selling them with SOS rails and OEM non-R NSX buckles. The SOS rails are an older version - I had to do a little bit of trial and error to get the right bolt setups in place, but now that they are on there they work beautifully, so this setup is plug and play. I have the drivers seat set to the lowest height and it is beautiful for a taller driver – I’m 6’4” and I have at least an inch or two of headroom with the heights they are at now. The OEM seat belt buckles are also in good shape and work well and are fully functioning on both sides.
I am asking $4,000 for everything. I strongly prefer local pickup in the NYC area – I’m open to shipping, but would ask the buyer to pay, and may also need some extra time to find shipping / packing materials to adequately pack these. Preference will be given to local buyers.
