rebuilt title nsx? whats it worth

You should do a carfax and find out if this car is from florida. because I saw a 2001 sometime ago on a salvage auction website red with tan interior that had rear end damage and some light front damage. sorry I can not remember exactly when it was but now that u said it an 01 I remember this car and I'm sure this one is it.

If I was u I would have a shop look at the car and make sure he's not lying about the frame if the frame is not fixed then its all good.. buy the car if u can work out a fair deal. I think theres nothing wrong with a rebuilt car if the work has been done right. IMHO

Good luck

I wouldn't touch it...but its your decision. I agree with other posts that 90% of potential buyers later on won't consider a rebuilt title car. Myself included.
To me it doesn't matter how good of a deal it is, its still damaged goods.

Your asking our opinions about what the car is worth, but I'm not yet convinced I have all the facts.

And to be fair to everyone else, I think you need to do your part and investigate a little more. Get the carfax, post pics of the damages to the car, get an inspection on the car, etc. I'm not trying to be harsh, but our estimates here are worthless unless you provide us with better information.

Underneath that beautiful red skin, might be a mess...frame could be bent, welds might be done wrong, etc.

um i did say in the post i was metting up with him this weekend to get all the info/pics.. so you knew the facts were coming.. so i should have everything this weekend

Did he forget that he bought it from an insurance company and thought the gate did the damage? After that, I'm not sure how much I would believe.......... I would proceed with caution and not get caught up in how the car looks and this 10k stereo (it does look good - but so do women when they get all dressed up with makeup, hairdoos, etc) and attempt to approach this from a non emotional perspective.

this must be brett's 01 nsx (nsxg35)

Very nice looking car, but I don't know about the damages.

Vinny @ All Car Service in Florida did all the repairs from what I was told

+1 But if there is no damage under the car, I'd get it. Looks great. I don't think rebuilt titles are that big a deal. Just remember that if you ever sell it you'll have to go through this whole stigma of a goofy title again. Personally, I bought my NSX knowing I'd probably never sell it... so....

hey ANYTIME he never said that it hit a gate. my friend said he thought the accident was from a gate.. which i said that in my other posts. yesterday was the frist time i actually talked with him about the car. before this i always went through my buddy.

when i see the pics and all the damage as long as everything checks out and fixed right then im hoping to get it

Call your insurance company and see if they even insure NSX's and if they will insure a rebuilt titled car. I had only 2 insurance companies to choose from that would insure both the nsx and house.
Take a breath.........
Have the car inspected by either a bodyshop and or your local acura dealer before you proceed. Don't let the pictures cloud your decision

I'm sorry if we are coming off a little tough on you. We are actually a very nice community and welcome all new members.

We're not trying to roast you here, we are strictly speaking from experience. We all know how the beauty of the NSX could easily cloud your judgement, that's where you need friends like us to keep you grounded.

Just take your time and do your due diligence. Whatever the outcome, you will be glad that you did.
