rebuild window regulators

anyone know who might rebuild the motor...the cable,track and everything else is fine, the motor is just old and shot...moves slowly up..

yeah...its not that...they are all cleaned and lubed up...its the motor...its even slow without the window attached....

thanks though.

don't know if they can help, but Audio Wizard @ 83rd st and Mcdowell does a lot of electronics type stuff. If not them, check with Radio Crack, I'm sure they refer people out for stuff like that... or ring up Basch since he's in the neighborhood, he might have a couple used ones lying around for sale?
 
not to hijack this thread but my windows go up and down very slow too. Do they just need to be cleaned and lubricated or is this what people are refering to when they say "window fix it thingys"....?

You would have to open the door panels to be sure. I strongly recommend you (a) read the FAQ section on Troubleshooting - Power Windows, and (b) open your door panels and check. Installing the fix it thingies (which cost ~$10 each) is a lot less expensive than installing new regulators (which cost ~$400 each).
