So has anyone pulled the upper control arm without disassembling the entire assembly, as per the shop manual? It looks like it's no big deal but, what about the load when the ball joint is disconnected from the knuckle with the lower arm still connected? Do I need to make any special provisions or take any precautions? Will it be a real PITA to get the new one back on with everything else still attached?
