My rear output shaft seals are starting to leak (the ones between the diff and the CV joints) has any one done these themselves? are they pressed in or just tap in with a soft hammer? and what fluid do yall recommend?

If you are refering to the dif seals in the trans case, I use a small drift to install them.

The old seal is friction fit....just gently pry it out.

I then place the old seal over the new seal and gently pound in the new seal. Minimizes any potential damage to the new seal if you don't have the proper tools.

Takes a few tries to make sure the new seal goes in straight. I also put a very thin coating of RTV on the outer diameter of the seal to ensure it will be leak free.

   ,,,"Gear oil" is not the proper lube for NSX or any Honda produced manual trans....use Honda MTL or 10/30..10/40 motor oil.....NEVER USE 80/90wt gear oil!!..JZ

wtf... that what the dealer said to put in... you realize where talking about the diff fluid not the trans fluid right? glad i havent already done it
