Does the whole bumper need to be removed in order to replace the lower valance? Is there a picture showing the removal process?

Thanks
Armando

Removing the entire bumper is the easiest way to do the install of the new valence. The person who did mine didnt even need the shop manual.

Respectfully Doc, removing the entire bumper is the only way to do the install of the rear valance .......

I disagree, I did it without having to remove the upper part. Took me about 3 hours total time.

I could take the whole thing off and put back on in a 1/3 the time! I have done it twice now. Either way, glad you got it done.
I agree re time factor, 20 mins tops to remove the rear bumper assembly - I'm still not sure how you could accomplish the valance exchange with the bumper in-situ - some of the fasteners between the two components are surely impossible to access without removing from my perception?

I was thinking the same. But I guess if there is a will, there is a way. Albeit a very hard way.

I guess you were standing behind me while I was installing and saw how hard it was for me, maybe the 2 or 3 hours also included changing out my exhaust and a new set of plugs, but that does take a bit longer because of the SC, a problem that you no longer have.

Where in this statement does it say that you did things other than change the valance? I thought that was your original question.

No, I wasn't there and haven't claimed to be. I was just going to past experience I have had. Didn't know you were going to get so touchy about it.
Removing the rear bumper is very easy. If you need, I can make a copy of pages in manual and email to you.
Remember, I was trying to help you to begin with.
Either way, glad you got it done
Again, expressing a nice gesture that you got it finished.

You are sooooo right about that. DON'T get started on that. I have not brought it up so I don't know why you have to. I guess since you have one currently and I don't you are better than I?
Just remember, I had mine BEFORE you did and have since moved on.
I do hope you have better luck with it than I did.

you must be better with a wrench than I
I'm not claiming to be. I was merely stating that if you were only doing the rear valance then it shouldn't have taken that long. Since I had done it a couple of times I had a better idea of what was involved and where all the nuts and bolts were. The 1st time I did it, it took about 1-1 1/2 hours just to take it off.
BTW, why are we bickering about this since you have already accomplished your goal and all is good now?
