I've used industrial strength velcro...the 2" wide strips. Two six inch long strips will hold like super glue....Apply the fuzzy side to the car and the hook side on the plate.I've taken other cars with plates attached this way through the car wash and have been on one of my cars (parked outside every day) for the past five years w/o a problem.The benefits of velco is that you can take your plates off when you need/want to. Especially the front plate. You have to look very closely to see that there are no screws securing the plate.People that I know take both plates off and cover up your public VIN and you have a parking ticket free car for the day. It is too much trouble for DOT to impound it...so they just ignore it.True Story.Drew
