Rear license plate nut missing

Just bought an NSX and am slowly getting aquainted with it through Prime - Thanks.

One of the rear license plate weld nuts is missing. Found and old thread below but it's not a lot of help.

An ideas on an easy fix?

With 200K on you car I know you are very familiar with these.

I won't have a lot of time in the next few weeks to even drive the car - just looking for some idea when it all breaks loose. Gotta maximize time.

Anyone know what size the factory nut is?

I'm not sure but I do know that DocL uses one for a pocket pal. :biggrin:

how about a new CF license plate frame?
bolts, washers, nuts, and caps included.

i have found that any captive nut that requires replacement is easily replaced by this insert- available at any hardware store.

Similar to a drywall anchor.

This is what was on my NSX when I bought it... then my temporary plate was stolen while I was waiting on my vanity plates... they took my CF trim and everything! and the nuts too! So I took it to the dealer while I was doing an oil change and they gave me new screws... :wink:

I don't think there is anything welded to hold the license plate on.....
