Has anyone here replaced the rear hatch glass molding? Like all early NSX's the moldings on these looks awful after time so I've ordered the hatch glass molding and top windshield strip. I'm just curious whats involved. Thanks.

My 92 daily driver here in Dallas, with 157,000 miles had the same problem with the same molding. I tried all the products listed in the various posts that provided little help.

Before ordering a new molding myself, as a last ditch effort, I used 0000 steel wool on it and after it takes off that oxidized layer it now looks almost brand new. Nice feature of that steel wool that it will not scratch your glass at all.

I would not use anything more course than the 0000 steel wool, you can find it at any HomeDepot or Lowe's

Good luck

Replacing it is not very hard it come pre-glued.

Please when working on your NSX do not use steel wool. Invariably you will get some fine steel particles on the car and left n place, un-noticed these particles will rust. Not good.
Use a scuff pad like a 3M Scuff Brite pad that you can get in a grocery store or a Gray Scuff pad that you can get at a auto supply store.
