Steve, Jason Weaver and I had the same conversation and we decided that it might be the hinge pins that the motor cover rotates on. I had planned on removing the cover or siliconing the pins in to see if that fixed the problem. I noticed it behind the drivers head when I was driving, and behind the pass. head when my wife was driving. (The NSX really needs an "Oh Shit" handle whenever the spouse gets to drive)
Been working on an FZR 600 project bike for the wife, so have not had a chance to test my theory, but check it out, as that may be our problem. We still need to get together to ride. My zx12 almost got smoked by a modded R6 a few weeks ago. Guy riding is fairly cool. Had two 996's till a few weeks ago. he pulled a mono in front of his house and the lower triple clamp shattered. Sold the FIXED 996 for 7.5K. Wish I woulda had the cash. Bad day indeed. give me a ring. we need to hit the Clayton highways.....
