I've been driving daily for the past couple months, and been driving my NSX hard. Hard as in reving the motor pretty high (2nd gear on side streets making the engine sing)
Last night my #11 radiator hose popped @ 133k , and I assume I lost most if not all my coolant. Car overheated, but not as severe when my coolant hose popped underneath the car not too long ago, which over heated all the way to the red zone.
My question is: I am going to attempt to replace the hose myself. I ordered the part from my local dealer.
-is there anything I should do before I pull the trigger, precautions,
preparations?
-how much coolant is needed 1-2gal?
-special tools?
-on a scale of 1-10 how hard is the DIY?
-bleeding the cooling system? how do you do that? tools?
-am I missing something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
