Radiator Fan Doesn't Come On - Temp Is OK!

I haven't ever noticed my radiator fan coming on. I have tracked the car (1991) and the temp never gets above half on the guage and the guage stays steady as a rock. I don't baby this car and hit 8K RPM whenever possible. I have a new thermostat, coolant, water pump and hoses. Is the fan not coming on normal?
(I did a search but didn't see this question or answer - sorry if it's a repeat)

I have never noticed it running - ever. All my other cars you can hear the fans come on at idle and sometimes after being shut off, but I've never heard it or seen it come on. Maybe this fan is unusually quiet - or maybe it's not working?

Just like the engine compartment fan, you'll find that the radiator fan is very rarely switched on. The NSX cooling system is that good.

The fan runs as needed based on the coolant temp. If its not running its not needed.

Thanks for the feedback. It's hard to believe, after all the many cars I've had, that this is the only one that doesn't/hasn't used the radiator fan (and now that you mention it - the engine compartment fan never runs either). It would be different if I didn't run it like it was stolen - but I do. Oh Well - It's good to know it's not unusual. Thanks Again :smile:!
