You'll probably need to use some kind of puller, although the cap might break before you get it out. Maybe heat? Then you probably have just as big a problem pressing a new one in. Maybe a machine shop could help. If anyone would know, it would be SOS.

Very carefully and slowly, use a propane torch, cheep at any hardware store, to heat the SOS cap edge as to expand it and you should be able, with a pair of gloves on, pull them apart. When you are replacing the new cap into the SOS cap, first put the stock cap in the freezer for awhile.( 30 / 60 min.) Then do the same thing to the SOS cap cover you did to seperate them, with the propane torch. Be quick when you put them together, as the heat will transfer quickly. Wear gloves again as well. This should do the job.

Thnx Nigel, I will give that a try.

Where is a good place to buy a radiator cap? Sos don't sell the Stant caps anymore for some odd reason.

Thnx.

Henry.
