Radar Protection

Should be getting my first NSX on Monday. What is the radar detector of choice for the descriminating NSXr? Any advice would be appreciated

I thinks its pretty unanimous to go with the Valentine 1.

Unfortunately, I bought my car used and the previous owner installed the K-40 "stealth" radar unit which is built into the car. It's a nifty little setup without any wires or transmitter showing, but its effectiveness is not even close to a V1.

Gotta go with the Valentine 1. Some may call it peer pressure, but I bought mine last year based upon the recommendations of NSX'ers and now I wouldn't recommend any other one.

Another vote for Valentine One.
Escort 8500 seems to be the marketing itself as better, but I really like the directional arrows.
Why dont you order them both, try them for 30 days, then send the one that you dont like back?

The K40 in my NSX is better than the Escort SR1 in my wife's Audi. The SR1 is based on the 7500. The new SRX is unknown. There is a new thread regarding stealth mounting of the Valentine. I will probably get a Valentine and compare it to my K40. Valentine if for my M3.

I have the 8500 and it is great. It has never let me down and doesnt false alarm often. The only thing I wish it had were arrows
