It's unlikely.  When you jack up the car, you only jack one corner or one side of it.  Even if you jack an entire side, half the weight of the car (1500-1600 pounds) is upon the tires on the other side of the car, not the jack.


The force needed to raise the car is a function of the distance lifted in each pump, and the length of the lift lever.  This particular jack raises the car a relatively long distance (over two inches) with each pump and it looks like the lift lever is shorter than some - both of which can require more force to lift the car, making it seem heavy.
