I don't think your insurance company will penalize you for hitting a wild animal, the deductible and knowing your NSX had a small flesh wound might bother you a little...
So after driving my RDX all winter and easily going OVER pretty much any obstacle I encountered on the road, I was out early season in my X and see a fat old raccoon 'resting' in the middle of the onramp I'm heading down. So I center up the car to go over it - when suddenly I realize I have about 1.5" of clearance and I'm facing a few thousand in repair bills if I follow my chosen path. A last second correction JUST got me around the thing.
Beware the resting animals. Beware the animals who try to 'count coup'. Beware the ones you don't see. Beware the ones that have you completely convinced they won't cross BACK in front of you. That about covers it. Just beware.
Damn! Sorry to see that. Take your time, find a good repair facility and get it done right. In a few months, when you are out driving and having fun, it will be a distant memory.
I know the feeling! So far, I've busted two bumpers and a radiator thanks to raccoons. and that's just my integras!
here's a pic of when a raccoon busted my front lip off, then it's head swung around to knock a nice chunk out of the side of my bumper. (please, don't take offense to the words on the tape. it was meant to be funny  )
