Ok, here's what I was thinking.... I have Ivory interior and I have the famous bolster wear on my drivers seat. I also have a little wear on the bottom seat cushion.
Now my question is, if I had a mint OEM passanger side seat(an extra one), would I be able to pull the leather pieces off it and apply them to my OEM drivers side seat? Has anyone ever tried this?
Thanks
Z

I seem to remember reading that the individual leather panels are available.

If you're skilled with upholstery I would think you could do the replacement yourself.

I'd probably take it to a skilled upholstery guy.

JimBO is right!

I had mine repaired/replaced by a local guy, The job was perfect and the cost including materials was a little over $100.00. As it turns out the color for the ivory seats is an exact match to a Cadillac Ivory color used in the early 80's. If anyone cares I will get the vendor and color match numbers. If I remember I had a choice between leather or vinyl. I went with the vinyl on the bolster section because it should wear better than the leather. I know he has material left because we ordered in a yard and only needed about 9 inches. I will ask him if he wants to sell some if you would like. Just send me an email with your info and I will forward it to him.

Best of luck,

Dave

You can buy 3 different size pieces of leather from the dealer. Do a search for the post about the mouse eating my leather seats. I list part numbers for black leather.

I have completely disassembled my drivers seat. It is not difficult. You will break some of the black push connecters (They look like a big plastic thumbtack) so plan on picking some up.

There are two pins that need to be removed to remove the headrest. I remember this being tricky.

All in all, the procedure was fairly easy. Once the seat is apart you can have the insert done for next to nothing.

Good luck
