I just put on a new set of wheels / tires and
there seems to be an unusual amount of steering wheel shake... not sure if... it only happens at certain speeds (70 mph - 80 mph)... at low speeds there is no shaking and
at high speeds (90-100) it's ok as well.. not sure if:
a) The wheels / tires need to be balanced... I bought them from another NSX owner and supposedly this was done already

b) The wheels / tires were installed
incorrectly (i.e. torque was no set correctly)... I had a shop put them on...

c) Or the road surface is just uneven
and I am to sensitive to the steering
wheel shake..

Help...

Thanks Again,
Rob

Rob -- Take the wheels off and have them balanced. It is also possible that incorrect style lug nuts were used (stock acorn vs. conical style).

Also, make sure that the wheels are "static" balanced. Not many shops take the time to correctly balance wheels and it does make a difference.

Hey Guys...

Just wanted to thank everyone again for their advice... turns out the following fixed
the problem:

i) The rims needed a hub centric ring
ii) The lug nuts needed to be replaced with
proper ones (OEM lug nuts do not fit correctly)
iii) The rims needed to be balanced
iv) 3 out of the 4 rims were bent

It cost me another $530 total in repairs but
the ride is nice and smooth now...
