OK....Ive bee doing some searching and have come to the following conclusions for NSX's reguarding the ring...

NA1 NSX= 8.30-9.00 minutes depending on driver/conditions

NA2 NSX=8.15-8.45 minutes depending on driver/conditions

NA1 NSXR=8.10-8.40 minutes depending on driver/conditions

NA2 NSXR=7.55-8.25 minutes depending on driver/conditions

Too me....These are oustanding times for a 270-290 HP vehicle and says a lot about the NSX's handling capabilities...As the ring has several L-O-N-G straight-a-ways...

My question is....

HAS ANYONE EVER DOCUMENTED TIMES AT THE RING WITH ANY NSX THAT HAD A SUPERCHARGER OR TURBO?

If they are this fast with 270-290 HP...How fast are they with 400 plus HP?

Any before boost and after boost times on any other long tracks to give an idea of the seconds that could be lost on the ring????

Thanks for any help with my question as this hole handling thing is overloading my previous domestic straight line only brain and quite frankly adding another demension to my vehicle enthusiasm:eek:

On public days you can't do a full lap unless you do a official track day there where the company hires the whole track.

Normally, you get past the gantry and queue back up to go through the tolls again. Consequently, it's hard to validate all of your times as a full lap is probably quite a lot longer. A lot of times are 'estimated.'

Timing gear is also illegal.

Important to remember all the official lap times are by professional drivers, who know the 'Ring inside out. An owner of a 400bhp NSX would never get any where close to the official time of a standard NSX without hundreds of laps under their belt.

Thanks for the info..Your pic is one of my favorites..

Erm I would swear I left a post here. So I'll just retype. Stock M3 CSL goes 7.50 (5 seconds faster than NSX-R) while SCed one (with some other mods like taking out a little weight) does 7.22. That means SCed NSX-R would do 7.20-7.25 as it is more dependable on power than CSL.

The Loaded CSL is a quasi race car though, every element of it has been uprated. It's much more than just a OE car with a bolt on charger. It has over 500bhp ATW too, a bit beyond a Supercharged NSX?

Yeah but factory CSL is 360 HP while NSX-R is estimated ~300-320 so it should also be close to 500 HP with such tuning. And I dont think that every element has been uprated, but many are - thats true. The thing is that on NSX-R you arent left with much to improve :D

Haha... No man, think 7.43 - 7.45 or something like that... Sub 7.30 are the hypercars, like Carrera GT, Zonda F Clubsport and so on. There are very few streetable cars that can even touch them... The Loaded CSL is a car with 10 years newer technology, lightened from the factory and tuned AT THE RING. And then he's stripped of more and added much more hp.

Actually the loaded lightend M3 weighed in at 3145 and 532rwhp and there are many track prepped cars running in the 7:15's to 7:30's but most of the cars recorded wikipedia easy accessible lap times are production cars.

A NSX can easily reach 425rwhp with a race set up supercharger.
A NSX can get into the 2500 LB range track prepped
Plus the NSX is MR as we all know which is much more favorable on tracks.

I think a identically set up NSX dollar for dollar would be faster or at minimum neck to neck with that CSL.

here are the specs for the "Loaded" M3 CSL

What I want to know is what would Billy run in the FactorX NSX? How about every prime member puts up $100 towards a fund to cover Factor X's costs to go put the NSX into history once again?

what would it cost 10k maybe? between transport/flights 2-3 days practicing 2 mechanics and such?
