So I picked up Brylek's STMPO RTSB (Brylek is an excellent seller BTW, highly recommended). It's the one designed for a Comptech or SOS S/C so it has a slight hump to fit over the blower.

Anyway, I bought this bar in anticipation of picking up a S/C later down the road and am trying to install it on an N/A 1995 NSX-T. After I got the bar installed, I noticed the hump now hits the bottom of the Targa holder/engine cover when you put it down. I raises it up enough that pushes on glass cover when it's down. You can still forcefully push down the glass and latch it, but I'm not comfortable with that much pressure on it.

So my question is, is there any way to adjust the rear hatch latch so that it can close but at a slightly higher position? Maybe I can put some washers in the latch to raise it up slightly? Is that a bad idea? Anyone got any ideas?

you are able to close the hatch with that brace on? I didn't think that was possible.

Adrian, why don't you think about picking up the comptech targa compartment. It should clear the brace plus it would also be a good weight reduction. In the mean time you can remove the compartment and store your top in the trunk, it fits very well.

It's good to know you are happy with the purchase.

Comptech made some spacers for the hinges that were about 1/2" thick for their SC setup. Don't have a pic, but they were the same size as the hinge base. You also need longer bolts.

Yes definitely happy. I just got back from a quick drive and am quite impressed with the rigidity... I must say I was skeptical at first, but now I'm a firm believer in this product!!

Thanks for everyone's replies. I'll try to research those Comptech spacers first.

So I went down to Home Depot and bought 1/2" longer latch bolts, 4 hex nuts to act as spacers and a few washers. Installed them and it still hits, but not nearly as much. Doesn't look pretty, but it should work until I can find myself a Comptech Targa holder..

Now I just need to figure out what to cover the bar with to protect the coating against rubbing on the targa cover.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

i'm glad it worked out as well... a bump on the STMPO RSTB thread might help other skeptics

happy motoring

The comptech covers rarely ever come up for sale and they are pricey.

I have been thinking of creating a new one that would work for us supercharger guys who would like a place to put the targa besides the trunk.

Yeah I just emailed CT Engineering about getting one and here's what they said:
